Artwork 03 / Speculative evolution
Sara Ardura Collia
A different take on evolution: one in which adaptation to the surrounding world begins to enter artificial territory. Here, change is not only biological or internal — it is imagined, provoked and made by one species for another.
Original cardboard bodies are paired with their smaller, 3D-printed counterparts — a composition in which each form becomes both material object and possible future self.
Evolution is not only physical. It is inherent to human beings, shaped not only by what happens within us but by the ways we choose to remake the conditions around us. Artificial, provoked evolution becomes an expression of empathy: a way of inventing extensions, possibilities and care for one another.
Evolution: Reimagined proposes that invention can be a gesture of love — an act of imagining bodies otherwise, together.
